Youths detained in Old City of Jerusalem

Sunday, February 15, 2015, 15:07 Two Jewish youths stayed over Shabbat, Saturday, February 14, in the Old City of Jerusalem with their yeshiva. The youths said that when they walked with their friends on Shabbat afternoon on Hagai Street near the Western Wall Plaza, Arabs attacked them with clubs and chairs. The youths attempted to defend themselves and apparently one of them sprayed tear gas. Policemen who arrived on the scene detained two of the Jewish youths and two Arabs.
The youths were transported on Shabbat to the Kisheh Police Station in violation of Shabbat. Honenu attorney Rehavia Piltz arrived at the police station after Shabbat in order to provide the youths with legal counsel. At approximately 1:00 A.M. the youths were released, several hours after the Arabs assailants were released.
