Wednesday, September 7, 2022, 10:21 This morning (Wednesday) two additional attackers of Mor Janashvilli were indicted, Hissam Awad and Salah Majeg. As of now, eight terrorists have been indicted for the brutal attack on Janashvilli in Acco during Operation Guardian of the Walls (May 2021).

Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing Janashvilli, responded to the announcement that the GSS detained additional attackers: “We thank the GSS, the police, and the Office of the State Attorney, for continuing the search for the terrorists who brutally attacked Mor last year. We, on our part, will accompany victims of terror to hearings and demand that the terrorists are prosecuted to the full extent of the law to ensure that there is active and effective deterrence against terror.”

Tomorrow at 9:30, a hearing is scheduled at the Haifa District Court regarding whether or not Mohamed Hamad, another of the terrorists who attacked Janashvilli, will be held in remand until the end of proceedings. Bleicher will accompany Janashvilli and his family to the hearing. In August, the Northern and Haifa District Attorneys’ offices filed an indictment charging Hamad with aggravated assault in an act of terror, rioting, disruption of legal proceedings, and malicious vandalism.
