Protest: Call to prosecute policemen who killed Ahuvia Sandak

Honenu is representing those who are insisting on the investigation of the death of Ahuvia Sandak, z”l, who was tragically killed in a police car chase on Tevet 6 5781/ December 21, 2020, and defending the many who are being detained while demonstrating for change in police behavior. 21:12 100 Demonstrators at String Bridge Approximately 100 demonstrators are blocking the entrance to Jerusalem at the String Bridge in protest of the death of Ahuvia Sandak during a police car chase. The demonstrators are calling for the policemen who killed Ahuvia, z”l, to be brought to trial.
21:29 Demonstrators clash with policemen Demonstrators are clashing with police at the String Bridge. One demonstrator has been detained. The street is being intermittently blocked.
21:32 Light rail blocked Some of the demonstrators are blocking the light rail and the intersection at the entrance to the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem.
21:44 Five detainees As of now, Honenu’s legal headquarters has received reports of five detainees at the entrance to Jerusalem. A Honenu Attorney is providing legal counsel.
21:48 Police brutality More reports of detainees have been received and also reports of police brutality.
21:53 Water cannon disperses demonstrators Water cannons are being used to disperse demonstrators. Ten additional demonstrators have been detained. Honenu Attorney Rehavia Piltz is on his way to the police station to assist the detainees.
