Sunday, April 24, 2022, 16:47 In March, Tzofia Lerner, a resident of Ateret, a community in the Binyamin region, was in her ninth month of pregnancy when Arab youths stoned her car near Na’alin, lightly injuring her. She was evacuated to Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem due to an increased fetal heart rate, where she received treatment and was released to her home under medical supervision. Several days later, doctors at the hospital decided to induce labor in order to ensure that the baby would not suffer damage from the mother’s injury and the traumatic incident. Lerner gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing Lerner, asked Colonel Mordi Weiss, the Ephraim Brigade Commander, and the Modi’in Police Station to increase their efforts to apprehend suspects: “The rock-terror attack had a high potential for a fatality, but miraculously resulted in only light injuries. As of this writing, neither my client nor I is aware of any apprehended suspects. I ask you to use all available means, with an emphasis on GSS investigations, to apprehend the suspects and bring them to trial.”
