DM Gallant serves administrative orders to released Hawara detainees

Thursday, March 2, 2023, 19:08 A short time ago, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant signed four-month administrative detention orders for two Yehuda and Shomron residents, one of them a minor. They were served with the orders minutes after Jerusalem District Court Judge Miriam Lomp ordered their release from remand. Honenu Attorney Nati Rom represented them at the hearing. They are suspected of carrying out illegal actions at a demonstration protesting worsening terror in the area, following an attack in Hawara in which Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, Hy"d, were murdered on Sunday.
Honenu Attorneys Nati Rom and Adi Keidar stated, "While Hawara residents are cheering murderers, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is showing them support and giving a prize for terror by serving Jews with administrative orders, while the murderers are still walking freely.
"On Arab social media, incitement is rampant, and on the ground, the IDF has completely lost control of rock-throwing terror and Molotov cocktail attacks on Jews. Defense Minister Gallant regards himself as above the two courts that released the detainees and serves as a rubber stamp for the GSS with regard to Jews. The GSS continues to wage an all-out war against Yehuda and Shomron residents while they turn a blind eye to the extreme incitement by left-wing activists who cause anarchy and widespread disturbances throughout Israel."
