Monday, September 12, 2022, 13:06 Recently, there was a rock attack near King David’s Tomb in Jerusalem. A Jewish man who was at the site drew his weapon and drove away the rock-throwers – see video clip below. He was detained and taken to the police station for interrogation. Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvili intervened on behalf of the detainee, who was released several hours later. His weapon was also returned to him. The officers at the station understood what had happened at the incident and understood that the detainee had acted correctly to save lives and to end the incident in the best way possible. Please note that one month ago, at the same site, terrorists opened fire on a bus, injuring eight.

Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvili: “The detainee should be praised for using his weapon to defend his wife and others present. He saved lives. I thank the interrogations officer at the Shalem Police Station for understanding the incident. He acted professionally and quickly to make the correct decision in accordance with the circumstances of the situation. We can only hope that this conduct will characterize additional police stations throughout Israel.”
